The Philippines has seven thousand islands and a huge number of interesting and unusual places that are definitely worth a visit.

Manila is the largest city and capital of the Philippines. It is considered the most populous city in the world. It is home to developed business districts with skyscrapers, bustling and chaotic Asian streets and colonial architecture.

Intramuros area

Intramuros is a picturesque area on the banks of the Pasig River, where you will find ancient architecture from the time of Spanish influence along with historical sights.
It is worth taking a stroll through the streets here to see the variety of buildings, find interesting shops and see the city life of the Filipinos.
Be sure to visit the main basilica and walk along the perimeter of Intramuros – it is surrounded by stone walls, and from the neighboring areas you can get here through numerous gates.

Fort Santiago

After walking through Intramuros, head to Fort Santiago, an ancient fortress that once served as a defensive structure.
Here you can walk through the courtyards, enter the museum and walk along the outer walls and the embankment. The north-east wall offers excellent views of the river and Manila.

Jose Rizal Park

For a break from the busy streets, head to José Rizal Park. It is located just outside the Intramuros area on its southern side.
The park has many paths, alleys and several ponds. See Japanese and Chinese gardens, monuments dedicated to famous people, and fountains surrounded by bushes. In the evening, the lights turn on at the fountains and you can watch the light show.

Manila Bay waterfront

If you walk from José Rizal Park along Roxas Boulevard, you will reach the Manila Bay promenade. On one side of you will be the bay of the city, and on the other – its high-rise buildings. It is pleasant to walk here both during the day and in the evening, when the lights are lit on the skyscrapers. At sunset, the embankment looks especially picturesque.
Binondo and Basilica of Saint Lorenzo Ruiz
For a more Asian view of Manila, head to the Binondo area. To do this, you need to cross the William A. Jones Memorial Bridge.
Continuing straight along Quintin Paredes Road, you will see the notable Basilica of Saint Lorenzo Ruiz, made of gray and pinkish stone.
The surrounding streets are full of markets, restaurants and cafes with local cuisine and shops. Nearby is Chinatown, where Chinese goods are sold and Chinese restaurants are open.

Tokyo is a city of contrasts. Tradition and technology are perfectly combined here. Buddhist temples and Shinto shrines coexist with neighborhoods of neon signs and anime, and skyscrapers harmoniously surround parks and gardens.

Imperial palace

Start your acquaintance with the city from the Imperial Palace. The very residence of the imperial family is closed to visitors, but you can walk through the territory of the Eastern Garden, which surrounds the palace.
The Imperial Palace is located in the heart of the city, not far from the main train station – Tokyo Station.

Ginza area and Kabuki-za theater

After the Imperial Palace, head to the Ginza Quarter, the city’s commercial and cultural hub, packed with high-end shops and high-end restaurants.
Ginza is located south of the palace, be guided by Ginza station.
The famous Japanese Kabuki-za theater is located in the same quarter. If you would like to attend one of the performances, book your tickets in advance as the theater is very popular.

Akihabara quarter

After the luxurious Ginza District, head to the city’s main anime district, Akihabara, with its neon signs, theme shops, cafes and fast food restaurants.
To get here, you need to go to Akihabara Station.

Senso-ji Temple

Go to Asakusa District. The famous Senso-ji Buddhist Temple is located here. One of Tokyo’s hanamachi (geisha district) is located on the territory of the quarter. In general, the atmosphere of old Tokyo has been preserved in this quarter.

Shibuya and Shinjuku neighborhoods

Visit Shibuya, the world’s busiest intersection, the Hachiko Monument and many shopping malls, cafes and bars.
The central station of the quarter is Shibuya.
Shibuya smoothly flows into Shinjuku – a quarter of skyscrapers and shopping and entertainment centers.
The central station of the quarter is Shinjuku.
Both of these places are more interesting to visit in the evening.

Meiji Shrine and Harajuku District

Be sure to take the time to visit Meiji Shrine, the largest Shinto shrine in Tokyo.
The shrine is located next to Harajuku Station in the homonymous neighborhood (Harajuku) between Shibuya and Shinjuku and is open from dawn to dusk. Free admission.
Harajuku is another neighborhood full of shops and cafes. The main street of the district is the pedestrian Takeshita street.

Indonesia

Bali is an island of ancient temples and incredible pristine nature. Here, high cliffs, on which strong waves break, give way to long beaches and bays. In the old settlements, the islanders keep their culture, which they gladly share with travelers, and the ubiquitous monkeys run in the trees.

Island beaches

Bali has many beaches. Among themselves, they differ in wave activity, coastal coverage, entry into the water and the level of ebbs and flows. We have selected several of the most suitable for a beach holiday.
In the southeast of the island (near the village of Candidasa) we recommend the beaches of Bias Tugel, Blue Lagoon and Virgin.
At the southern tip, visit the beaches of Nusa Dua, Thomas and the famous Padang Padang.
A great idea for beach relaxation and entertainment is the Sundays Beach Club – a complex with its own beach, where you can stay for 400,000 IDR on weekdays and 450,000 IDR on weekends. The price also includes the rental of a kayak and snorkeling equipment.

Temples Pura Luhur Uluwatu and Pura Tanah Lot

Not far from the city of Kuta, on a cliff, stands the Pura Luhur Uluwatu temple. It is well worth a visit for its gorgeous scenery and lush blue ocean. The views are especially stunning at sunset.
Another popular temple – Pura Tanah Lot – stands on a small stone island near Tanah Lot beach. During low tide, the bottom is exposed here and it becomes possible to get to the sights.

Monkey Forest

Turning onto Jl. Monkey Forest and following it to the end, you will reach one of the symbols of the island – the Monkey Forest. Here, stairs and bridges lead through the jungle, in which about 10 species of monkeys live, and dozens of stone statues of animals look especially remarkable.
Several trails depart from Ubud, a walk along which will open you unforgettable views of the nature of the island. For example, the Subak Juwuk Manis Trail runs past rice paddies and village houses, while the Campuhan Ridge Walk runs up a ridge overlooking an evergreen forest.
